Organize Your Scrapbooking Cell Phone Pictures Using the "First Image" Concept

Organize Your Scrapbooking Cell Phone Pictures Using the "First Image" Concept

December caught me by surprise with all the warm weather we were having in Wisconsin. Reality hit me when a recent snowstorm arrived!

How do I use these monthly images or pictures? At the start of each month, I copy & paste the first image and upload it to my camera - or I take a photo. I hope you enjoy your "first image" for December's pics. 😍

The last day of the month, I scroll through all the pics and make decisions:
  • print for scrapbooking using my Canon Selphy,
  • make copies for friends and family,
  • discard the image,
  • or archive it for a future file.
  • I also chronologically back up the important pictures to an external hard drive. The program allows me to label images and create face recognition files.
This process has been life-changing since I started resetting the images on my cell phone each month. Lauren Hines, a Creative Memories Consultant, was my inspiration for this organization process called POP.

Have you started your planner for 2026? Remember to take time for your hobbies.

At the beginning of the year, I schedule the last day of each month in my Happy Planner for scrapbooking four pages of pictures. It's such a splendid feeling to have our family's special moments in an album. If I want to expand the memories, I can always use archived photos to create additional albums.

Did you know that Stampin' Up! bought Close to my Heart and currently sells Memory Keeping supplies? In January 2026, a new Mini Catalog reveals an assortment of Designer Series Paper, cardstock, stickers, stamps, and die cuts for paper crafting!

Take care,
Linda Ann

Looking for Ideas to Organize Stickles?

I've been working at organizing my cottage. Today in my web search for storage tips, I came across the Artbin Glitter Glue Organizer.  The cost is $29.99. Currently, on the web site, the organizer is on sale for $5.00 off with free shipping and a charge of $4.99 for handling....total cost $29.99.

Has anyone purchased the organizer?  Please share your comments below...thanks!

In my search for ideas on organizing Stickles, I also came across Amanda Formaro's idea of gluing circular magnets onto the bottom of a Stickle's bottle.  Next, mount a metal cookie sheet under the cupboard. Viola! I noticed Amanda tied the cookie sheet to the metal shelf...great idea if you want to bring the Stickle's bottles to your work space.

(I am curious if the full-sheet magnetic pages, with adhesive on the back, would work too.)

Work Space Wishes

Is a new work space at the top of your wish list?  If your answer is yes, then I totally understand the planning process.

Step 1:
What steps do I need to take to design the perfect studio? There is only so much time and money, so the initial design needs to fit my needs.

Step 2:
The next step in planning begins with "investigating blogs." Absolutely a fun step!  Do I have some wonderful ideas to share!!!  So many of the studios, I have shared, are for paper crafting, but the same ideas can easily accommodate the quilters.  Click here for storage ideas and additional studio pics...

Check out two of the blogs I investigated:

Step 3:
Create plan and go shopping for supplies.

Step 4:
Time to get busy working on my plan.  Wish me luck!!!

PS: Wish I had room for the tables in the pics above...a gal can dream.

"Life is Too Short for Beige"

Stacy Julian loves color and she has a blog called, "Life is Too Short for Beige."  Whenever I am stuck on a color scheme, I will adventure to Stacy's link to obtain some great color ideas.

Since I was looking for colors to use with pink, I searched through pictures of flowers captured on my camera last summer. Catching my eye was a water lily gently floating on a pond at Winter Greenhouse.  Kay and Russ were visiting us and they loved the colors, so I snapped a picture.  Here is the water lily and scroll down for the Creative Memories Cardstock I picked for my scrap book page...
