Steps to Create a Layered Effect with Stampin' Blends
- Using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, stamp the Simply Zinnia on a Basic White cardstock die cut with the Simply Zinnia largest rectangle.
- Next, color in the leaves with Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, and Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends. The shading technique will create realistic stems and leaves - color the dark areas first and then blend with the light tones.
- Select a color for the Zinnia and fill in the petals.
- Using the scrap Basic White and Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Pad, stamp the Zinnia Flower.
- Start by coloring the center of the flower with Lemon Lolly Stampin' Blends.
- Using various hues of Stampin' Blends, create multicolored flowers in purple, pink, and berry tones. See the chart below for color ideas.
- Fussy cut out each flowerhead.
- Add the flowerheads to the base image using Dimensionals.
